. Nama "Quidditch" diduga berasal dari Queerditch Marsh, lokasi permainan pertama yang tercatat. Saat itu bola yang digunakan hanya Quaffle dan 2 buah batu yang disihir yang merupakan cikal bakal Bludger. Golden Snitch baru muncul pada pertengahan abad ke-13 dan kemunculannya terbilang unik.
. QUAFFLE adalah bola biasa berwarna hitam dan para Chaser selalu berusaha membawa bola ini agar masuk ke gawang lawan. Jika chaser berhasil memasukkan bola ini ke gawang lawan, maka timnya mendapat 10 angka.
. BLUDGER adalah bola berwarna coklat, tetapi sengaja dimantrai untuk mengganggu dan bahkan bisa mencelakakan pemain lain, tapi juga ukurannya lebih kecil dibandingkan Quaffle. Bludger ini dipukul oleh seorang BEATER, Beater juga bertugas melindungi pemain lain.
. GOLDEN SNITCH adalah bola yang sangat kecil berwarna keemasan ditambah lagi dengan geraknya yang super cepat dan nyaris tak terlihat bila benda ini telah mengudara. Tetapi dengan menangkap benda ini pertandingan akan berakhir dan ini merupakan inti dari permainan QUIDDITCH. Namun, jangan menyepelekan Golden Snitch. Benda ini akan sulit terlihat dan sulit tertangkap, jadi harus benar-benar fokus.
