In later cartoons, corresponding to The Little Whirlwind, Mickey lost his tail. However, his nose was restored, and his eyebrows returned. Although the primary three-circle silhouette of Mickey's face remains to be probably the most iconic, the eyes were made to have pupils, which helped create a more practical look.
