Child Center of Pennsylvania honors Brian Houchins Community Recognition Award

Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg is awarded the community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is introduced annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to improving the lives of children in our neighborhood.
Brian Houchins, a devoted elementary faculty trainer and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children's education and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have considerably impacted the lives of numerous children in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins' initiatives embrace establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy expertise for at-risk youth, and main a profitable community-driven marketing campaign to improve native playgrounds, guaranteeing safe and inclusive play areas for all youngsters.
The ceremony for the award will be held on January 15,on the 15th of January,The Mechanicsburg Community Center will host the award ceremony on the 15th of January, 2024. The event will feature speeches from native dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins' contributions, and the award presentation.

His dedication to our community's kids goes above and beyond, making an actual difference of their lives," stated Sarah Jennings, Director of the Child Center of Pennsylvania. "His ardour for serving to youngsters to succeed is an inspiration to us all."
