Child Center of Pennsylvania honors Brian Houchins Community Recognition Award

Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg is named the recipient of the 2023 The Mechanicsburg Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is introduced annually to a person who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to improving the lives of kids in our group.
Brian Houchins , a dedicated elementary faculty instructor and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children's education and welfare. Over the previous ten years, his efforts have considerably impacted the lives of countless children in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins' initiatives embrace establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy abilities for at-risk youth, and main a profitable community-driven marketing campaign to improve native playgrounds, making certain protected and inclusive play areas for all youngsters.
The ceremony for the award will be held on January 15,The Mechanicsburg Community Center will host the ceremony for the award on 15th of January, 2024. The event will feature speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins' contributions, and the award presentation.
