in terms of political cartoons, nothing says "silly animal" like an elephant. Its title relates to the accomplice president Jefferson Davis, who appears on an elephant's back with a monocle. The elephant carries an unlimited amount of arms, surrounded by a military of "jackasses" carrying pitchforks, brooms and scythes. The center background includes a gallows.
Sidney the Elephant was originally created by the Terrytoons studio, but it was sold to CBS in 1955. CBS then appointed Gene Deitch as its creative director, and many of the Terrytoons characters were dropped. Sidney's identify and face, however, were retained by the brand new house owners. ดูอนิเมะซับไทย were often based on Sidney's adventures in the jungle, and Deitch's type mirrored this.
