Plus, it greatly reduces kickback through the handlebar in rough or rocky terrain to reduce riding fatigue even more. And three mounting points increase rigidity for a better feel, increased stiffness and enhanced control. Honda introduced the EPS system on the hard-working Honda Foreman line in 2007, and it’s been a dependable, smart feature since then.
Want to be more hands-on with the shifting? The TRX500FPE FourTrax with Electric Shift Program (ESP) mode provides riders with electronic push-button shifting using the large buttons on the left handlebar. With the ESP mode, you’ll notice the shift occurring much faster and resulting in a smoother transition. Thanks to Honda’s exclusive ESP system, upshifting and downshifting has never been so easy. The TRX500FPE FourTrax combines the ease of an automatic with the strength of a conventional transmission. And because there’s no foot-shift lever, ESP is also a bonus when riding in heavy or mud/snow-covered boots. It’s another great example of how choosing Honda means you’re getting the best utility ATV you could ever hope to.
