Lesser key of solomon ini adalah klasifikasi demon berdasarkan area kerjanya/office.
Sebenarnya, text lesser key of solomon ini tidak diketahui siapa penulisnya. Tetapi dipercaya King Solomon sendirilah yang menulis buku ini.
Lesser key of solomon memiliki nama lain yaitu Lemegeton dan Clavicula Salomonis Regis.
Legemeton ini bukanlah full satu buku, tetapi terbagi menjadi 5 bagian yaitu
Ars Goetia
Ars Theurgia-Goetia,
Ars Paulina
Ars Almadel
Ars Notoria
Buku pertama disebut Ars goetia atau book of evil spirit.
Berisi penjelasan mengenai 72 demon beserta segel dan kekuasaanya.
Ars Theurgia-Goetia atau the book of spirit. Jika ars goetia hanya berisi evil spirit, berbeda dengan yang kedua. Isi dari buku ini sebagian adalah evil spirit sebagian lagi adalah spirit yang baik/ biasa saja. Juga ada aerial spirit.
Yang ketiga disebut Ars Paulina atau pauline saja. Isinya demon-demon yang menguasai zodiak sign.
Ars paulina terbagi lagi menjadi 2 buku, yang pertama menjelaskan 24 malaikat yang berhubungan dengan 24 jam dalam sehari. yang kedua itu menjelaskan the 360 spirits of the degrees of the
zodiac.
jadi buku pauline yang kedua itu ada yang menyebutnya sebagai bagian keempat dari lesser key of solomon yaitu Ars Almadel. disebutkan di pengantar ars goetia itu pembagiannya ada yang 4 ada yang 5.
Yang terakhir yaitu Ars Nova. Ars Nova isinya apa sih? Ini isinya doa-doa/pujian-pujian/mantra-mantra yang digunakan oleh solomon di atas altar kuil untuk pemujaan.
Yang sering dipakai untuk demonologi sendiri ya Ars Goetia.
Ars goetia sendiri juga terbagi menjadi 2 buku.
Kalau bagian kedua, itu menjelaskan tentang membangkitkan si demon itu. Banyak pentagram dan simbol-simbol dalam buki tersebut.
