What You Need to Know About Your Nissan Key Fob

So you've lost your Nissan key fob or it just stopped functioning. Before you panic or call the dealer, look back to where you last used it.

It's not that difficult to replace the battery on your Nissan key fob. It's not long before you'll get the hang out of it.

Finally close the compartment for the battery and return the hidden key to its safe place within the case.

Remote Start

Nissan remote start permits drivers to cool or heat their vehicles from outside, insofar as they're within the operating range. The ignition of the vehicle can be activated by pressing an appropriate button on the key fob or mobile application. Remote start systems can also activate the climate control so that the driver is able to choose their preferred temperature. Lockout Protection

Lockout protection prevents nuisance lockouts caused by impedance relay malfunction. A specific module within the power control unit watches for impedance relay activity and then disables the output. This feature is only available on vehicles that have the Smart Key system or through the vehicle personalization menu.

These accidents are usually the result of energy that was not released correctly. Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) which makes sure that machines remain off until a person with authorization releases them, helps prevent these kinds of accidents.

The LOTO system is comprised of a number of locks tags, locks, and other equipment that are used to secure, isolate or block the machine from an electrical source. All "affected", "authorized", and "qualified" personnel must be instructed in the use of lockout and tagout devices. These devices include, but are not limited, to chains, locks, and padlocks. Each device is clearly identified and labeled, containing the date and time of its application along with the name of the person authorized and the reason for the lockout/tag-out (repair, maintenance, etc). It must be stated clearly that the devices cannot be removed until the LOTO procedure is complete.
