Tarot adalah set kartu bergambar yang digunakan sebagai media peramal. Dengan menggunakan kartu tarot peramal dapat meramalkan orang yang diramal dengan melihat gambar di kartu tarot yang orang tersebut pilih. Kartu tarot berjumlah 77 dan terdiri dari 2 bagian yaitu arcana mayor (54 buah) dan arcana minor (22 buah). Kartu arcana minor sendiri terbagi menjadi 4 elemen yaitu Tongkat, Cawan, Pedang, dan Koin (page, knight, king, queen). Kartu tarot sendiri memiliki gambar dan simbol untuk diramalkan. Masing-masing kartu tarot juga ada yang bergambar tegak dan terbalik. Yang tegak tidak selalu berarti baik dan begitupula yang terbalik tidak selalu berati buruk.
