Secret Agent Slot Machine Game Review
A slot in a queue is a position where an agent can be served. There are ligalotus -life applications where we assign agents to facilities (represented by slots on a line) such as: scheduling appointments in hospitals, assigning employees to shifts, reserving tennis courts, and scheduling airplanes to airport landing slots. While several popular mechanisms exist to solve these problems, they lack efficiency in random environments, due to their reliance on some assumptions. In this paper, we introduce a new model of a slot-specific priority choice rule and present a simple but effective algorithm for solving the problem under these assumptions.
The slot-specific priorities choice rule is a variant of the well-known cumulative offer mechanism and offers several improvements over existing mechanisms, such as stability, strategy-proofness and Pareto improvement. It also allows institutions to transfer capacity from one original slot to another without reverting the precedence order of the original slot. In this setting, the original slot’s precedence order remains unchanged, and the transferred capacity is applied to the new slot that is closest to it.
In this case, the institution is able to use its capacity in an efficient manner by using the new slot to serve the remaining unassigned contracts of its students. The transferability of the capacity between the original slot and its shadow slots is determined by a vector defined by the institution. The vector determines which original slots can be used to serve the remainder of its contracted students and which cannot, thus providing a way for an institution to manage its own resources and address important issues such as affirmative action and diversity in education.
This is a great looking game from Play'n GO that really captures the ambiance of the spy genre. It's a little more low-tech than their previous secret agent slot Mission Cash, but it still has that great feel to it.
From Intent: Fills the slot with a value that's saved if the recognized intent matches that of the slot. You can define multiple value mappings for a single From Intent slot, so the bot can act differently depending on the intended result of the request.
From Message: Fills the slot with the text of the next message. Unlike the From Intent slot, you can't configure an intent restriction for this slot.
Entity-Based: Can be either a custom slot or an entity extracted from a contact's message. When set to True, the bot behaves differently based on whether it has a False value in this slot.
You can use this to, for instance, ask the contact if they are available to meet in Phoenix or Prague. However, separate configuration is needed to act on the meaning of the content in the slot.
