14 Common Misconceptions About Cheap Single Pushchair
Cheap Single Pushchairs

If you're on a tight budget and don't want a stroller that doubles as car seat carriers the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also easy to push and feels sturdy when you're navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the ultimate lightweight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, thanks to its extremely nimble handling and fold-down that fits into the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The most recent version comes with independent suspension on all 4 wheels constructed of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to perfectly traverse all terrains and types'.

The YOYO2 frame base with a curved fabric bassinet as well as a 6+ month color pack make a stylish and elegant pushchair that's easy to look at and has a subtle but elegant design and a tasteful branding. The frame's base weight is less than a kilogram, and is so light you can lift it from the box using just one hand.

It's also easy to add or remove adaptors or attachments - the hood, for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks and is machine washable to help deter staining from rice cakes smushed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into a stroller after 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents who are looking for a versatile stroller wagon. The Evenflo Xplore can be transformed from a stroller to a wagon by simply flipping the handle. Parents can then select the best mode for their needs. The wagon is able to accommodate one or two children from 6 months to 5 years old. It has a huge storage basket that will hold everything you need while on the go.

The Xplore also features dual canopies that turn from front to back, ensuring ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that is not as deep or large as other wagons, which means it may not be ideal for long-distance excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend like other wagons that we tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it's not able to lock tight when folded. It is easy to maneuver, though, and it can be able to fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents seeking an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and size folded that means it's lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to put into a trunk of a car or closet. It also comes with the option of reclining in multiple positions and a cup holder for the parent. Other features worth mentioning include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

It performed better in our push and turn test than most of the other strollers we tested but is still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the most compact we tested, with only direct overhead coverage, and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together using an average manual and no components required tools. However, it's missing some critical features that we think it is important to consider as non-negotiable features in a double stroller for example, a larger basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair, and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to carry baby from birth up to around 3.5 years, converting easily into a seat and carrycot with a few clicks. The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward direction and can also pivot. This is useful for navigating through rough terrain. We let the front wheels to swivel while walking along the stony path. It handled this reasonably well, though it did seem a little bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is known for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain Jogging pushchairs, however they also have a wide range of 4-wheeler strollers. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It is easy to use and folds small enough to fit in the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.
