College students at this university were randomly sampled in order to complete a survey about their academic and personal life. The survey was initially completed by 312 students, but there was some missing data in this sample. The data has now been cleaned up and supplemented with grade point information by the Spring Intern (who put in a long Spring Break week). Accordingly, there is now a sample of 283 usable observations. The variables for which data was gathered include:
Math: Math SAT score at time of application
Verbal: Verbal SAT score at time of application
Exer: Time (in minutes) spent exercising in a typical day
Sleep: Time (in hours) spent sleeping in a typical day
Veg: Are you a vegetarian (yes, no, some)
Smart: Do you own a smart phone (yes, no)
UnivGPA: Current University GPA
This data is attached as Lab 8.xlsx below.
Your continuing task in this consulting project is to analyze this data and answer several research questions.
