Every once in awhile I get to go out to the forest and something simple thing like go to the store. My life is very simple and peaceful. All I do is wake up and eat and go to school, come home, do homework and go to bed, then repeat.

My REAL mother was a famous actor who was killed a little while after I was born and after that I was left with my grandparents and my little 9 year old sister. I am Jessica Santamaria. I am 16 years old and I don’t know how I became like this. I have never had friends, only work partners for school projects. I seem to always be right in the middle though, people like me but on the other hand they are afraid of me. My foster parents don't care much about me so I just do what they say because I don't ever want to be parentless again.

This story is about how my life took a supernatural turn, a turn that I don't recommend it. It started when I was at my school for an after school lesson from one of my teachers. We were in the library, but people were still talking out loud and some were even screaming.

Of course I as the only one who wanted it to be quite. The teacher, Mrs. Hendrickson, was shushing everyone. Eventually the whole class had to check out a book and I ended up with The Bone Season by: Samantha Shannon. We stayed in the library for a little while, and went to class.

The library was empty when I got there, at the end of the day. I was reading when I heard someone come in, I saw it was just another girl; who looked like she was confused or lost. I stand up and walk over to her.

“Hey, you? Are you lost?” I ask; the girl doesn't look like she heard me. I shake her shoulders and she seems to wake up from a trance or a spell.

“Wha- oh sorry, was I in the way?” She asked.

“No, why are you here, you look like you are lost.” I answer truthfully, “You can stay, but we close in about half an hour.” Before you ask I said we because I work here, For extra cash, to pay off the rent.

“Oh, I don't know where I am!” She whispers, looking scared, “or how I got here!” That's when I notice something odd about he; she was glowing, not from her cloths; but from her skin. It had a bluish tint, that glowed. I rub my eyes and notice she had Sea Blue eyes, Blonde hair, and a cheerful aroma around her.

I get a feeling this is not something that I shouldn't get involved with, but I don't think this girl will be able to fix this by herself. I get a map from the front counter and she looks at it confused. “This will help, where was the last place you remember? Or do you remember where your house is?”

She looked at me with an expression of confusion again.
