Seats


The majority of 3 wheel double buggies are initially single pushchairs, but some can convert to take the seat of a second person or carrycot with adapters (these are typically more common in tandem buggies). Some models allow you to add an additional board for older children who are ready to walk, but still need some help.

For a light-weight alternative that's ideal for urban streets, look into the Joie Evalite Duo. It's easy to maneuver and comes with a large basket that has plenty of storage space. It can accommodate twins from at birth and will accept two car seats or a carrycot with seat. However, the seats need to face forwards and there's not enough space to store a bag of groceries underneath and you'll need a sidepack for that.

Suspension

The suspension of a double 3-wheel buggy will determine how easy you and your child/children are able to push it.
