Racing into the night is inspired by Thanatos no Yuwaku Here’s the story: The boy saw the girl trying to commit suicide, he fell in love with her at first sight. Every time the girl texted the boy that she is planning to commit suicide, the boy thought she wants him to stop her, but actually, the girl wanted him to commit suicide with her. One day, she tried to jump again, he then stoped her and grabbed her hand, the girl says that the god of death, Thanatos is calling for her. The boy told her that she needs to stop looking at Thanatos and look at the boy, apparently, the god of death appears attractive to whoever it calls. He then asked her why that he loves her so much, she just won’t look at him, she says she doesn’t want to anymore, he then replies that he doesn’t want to either, The girl says, “I’m tired already.” The boy replied, “I’m tired too.” She said, “I want to die faster.” He said, “I also want to die!” She smiled and asked, “You finally realised?” He answered, “Ah.. I finally understand.” She said, “Really? That’s great!” He explained, “I see, every time you called me and talked about planning suicide, you didn’t want me to save you, you wanted me to die together with you.” That’s why she wanted him to die together,…… but why? To the boy, the real god of death was the girl. The girl said, “Shall we go now?” The boy replied, “Okay, let’s go.” “Hands held, you and me,” He continued. They jumped together, however, the girl survived since she is the real Thanatos.
