lamborghini huracan keys is a Supercapacitor Hybrid
The Sian FKP 37, by Lamborghini's standards it's a wild car. It's one of the first hybrid vehicles to make use of supercapacitors.
The Sian is powered by an electric motor of 34 horsepower integrated into the automated manual gearbox up to 80 miles per hour. Then, the V-12 takes over. This system lets the car accelerate instantly and is more efficient.
Forged Composites
The Sian's Hybrid Systems has an additional trick in its sleeve: the supercapacitor. It's able to recharge faster than lithium-ion batteries and the car can run for up to 63 seconds on electric power alone.
Lamborghini's forged composites are key to making this happen, and the material may eventually make its way into regular production vehicles. It's uncured plastic which is mixed with short lengths of carbon fiber strands. It's not as appealing as the pre-woven carbon fibers that are pre-impregnated in resin, but it's more flexible and lighter.
In order to get the forged carbon fiber to form, users simply need to cut off the proper amount of mass, then place it in the hot press mold, and squeeze it under the heat. It only takes minutes, when it could take hours to make the exact part with traditional methods.
Lamborghini claims that its manufacturing-friendly material could result in more affordable products in the future. The cost of materials and labor is a bit high however if you are able to make the process more efficient and save money, you can make a difference. Forged composites are also more flexible than carbon fiber weave and engineers can design complicated shapes without adding weight or cost.
Carbon Skin
The Lamborghini Sian has a futuristic elegant design that maximizes aerodynamic efficiency. The long, sculpted contours and distinctive aero wings give it a powerful profile and its low front and carbon fiber splitter help to improve stability. The Y-shaped headlights as well as hexagonal shapes are classic Lamborghini elements that further emphasize the vehicle's distinct styling. The interior is a blend of luxury Italian craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. The dashboard and the driver's seat are upholstered with a distinctive material called Carbon Skin. This material can be customised using the Ad Personam program.
The Sian's hybrid system is powered by a capacitor that is able to combine the power of an electric motor and the efficiency of a battery with a voltage of 48 volts. Its fast-fire torque fills gaps in acceleration, while its regenerative brake recharges the battery. The Sian can travel farther on only one gas tank.
Comparing it to a lithium-ion conventional battery, Sian's supercapacitor offers three times the capacity and can be recharged in just 63 seconds. It is also lighter and more compact. The supercapacitor is located in the bulkhead, between the engine compartment and the cabin it powers a 34-hp electric motor mounted to the rear of the vehicle's automatic transmission.
The Lamborghini Sian is based on the Aventador SVJ, which means it comes with the same rumbling V12 engine that is found in the model. It shares the same chassis and suspension and the same four-wheel-drive. However, the Sian's unique hybrid powertrain is its biggest selling feature.
Ad Personam
The Sian is Lamborghini's first hybrid car, and it's a bold statement of intent. The latest creation of the raging bull makes use of supercapacitor technology in order to decrease the weight-to-power ratio while reducing its incredibly powerful V-12 engine.
For the most committed customers of Lamborghini they have the option to completely personalize the car through the Ad Personam program. The Ad Personam program permits customers to personalize the vehicle to meet their exact specifications.
A full spec sheet can be viewed online, and a consultation can be scheduled at the Sant'Agata Bolognese headquarters or through an online studio. The latter was created to allow customers all over the world to attend an individual spec session the team without having to travel all way to Sant'Agata.
The name Sian is the Bolognese word for lightning, and it's an acknowledgement of Lamborghini's past and future. The alphanumeric suffix FKP 37 is a tribute to Ferdinand Karl Piech, the man who brought Lamborghini into the Volkswagen Group family and died shortly before the introduction of the Sian. Only 63 models were made and they're all sold out.
Specs
The Sian is based on the Aventador SVJ. It has the same V12, chassis and suspension. It also has an electric motor that is smaller to turn it into a hybrid. That means it can run solely on electric power at lower speed, and it could utilize the gasoline engine to aid in acceleration when needed.
The electric motor is powered by a supercapacitor which is located in the bulkhead between the cabin and the engine compartment. It's three times more powerful than an equivalent battery of the same weight and three times lighter. The system recharges itself by regenerative brakes. This means there's no requirement to connect it to an electrical grid. The e-motor provides torque fill for upshifts, which enables the car to move 10 percent more quickly than without it.
Lamborghini claims that the design of its hybrid Sian is intended to convey an open top feeling of energy in its raw form. The exterior features a blend of orange paint and carbon fiber as well as the roof, which is a glass panel inspired by the Periscopio on the early Countach prototypes. Other highlights include aluminum detailing sprayed in Oro Electrum. This is the color Lamborghini uses for its hybrid cars.
Inside the Sian has a cockpit that was designed by Lamborghini's head design, Mitja Borkert. It's a bit wilder than what we're used to seeing from Lamborghini and features lots of cutouts and creases. It's a car that's almost comical in appearance, however, it's still awe-inspiring. The driver sits behind a tin-free steering wheel with massive paddle shifters and the infotainment display is in an orientation that is vertical.
