I the person who took this photo am half black, half Japanese; yet i have no Japanese resemblance at all whats so ever. Every few years i visit my family in japan, yet each time i feel out of place because i look so different due to the colour of my skin as i never see myself as having any Japanese heritage. In my photo you see a fan my grandma gave me when i was 7 along with its cover and a key chain. The key chain was given at a temple in Kyoto. A preacher was giving out key chains for people and my mother decided to buy me one. In my photo the main thing photographed is that key-chain and that's because of the message written on it. The symbol's on the chain symbolize happiness; telling me to remember this Japanese culture is apart of who i am and forever will be no matter what others says. I gathered these 3 things in my photo to remind myself where i am from and how amazing our world has become as it grows with more diversity.
