application of wu xing in feng shui

in chinese belief there is a theory that is believed by the average chinese citizen, namely the role of fengshui in a space. In fengshui itself there is what is commonly called wu xing. wu xing is the five elements that exist in chinese belief. these elements are wood, fire, earth, metal and water when they become one and reach an equilibrium point will produce good energy. in connection with the function of this design, the concept of wu xing will be applied in it, where the married life of two people who become one through marriage vows also needs a balance so that it is not only centered on itself but also for couples and families.

each element in wu xing has its own special characters such as nature, color, material, cardinal direction and shape as the meaning of the symbol of the element. this design will apply the characters in wu xing into the design as a space-forming element and feel in the space.

the application of elements of wu xing will be placed into the areas to be designed in this design by classifying into five major areas with an approach to the pattern of activity, activity and function of these spaces. the classification of spaces in the oriental wedding center into concepts is as follows:

1. the chapel is the place where the marriage blessing takes place, in marriage there will be a journey of life and is a source of new life. this function corresponds to the character of the water element.
2. the lobby is the first place that visitors will pass and become a link between the chapel and the commercial area. from this pattern, the lobby area is in accordance with the earth element which has a stable, balanced and honest character.
3. gallery is a place that visitors will pass when entering the bridal area, photo studio, and others. here visitors can walk leisurely while looking at the items on display such as photos, invitations, souvenirs, wedding clothes and jewelry with the aim of helping clients who are preparing for their wedding needs choose what suits their wishes. the gallery area corresponds to metal elements that have the character of truth, strength and clarity of mind.
4. travel agent is a place for choosing vacation destinations and booking tickets. visitors will find out the purpose of their vacation that suits their heart's desire to unwind. wood elements have a character that corresponds to this pattern, namely loyalty, kinship, self-expression.
5. event organizer is an area consisting of consulting areas, bridal and photography studios. from the pattern of activity that occurs in this area in accordance with the fire element which has a logical, rational, spirited, dynamic, confident and creative character.
