When I was one, my mother Vanessa died. My father and I lived alone in a small town. I am now 17 and I am here to tell you a story, my story. My name is Eden and my story starts the day of my mother’s death. Her death consisted of just a simple fire in our old house. At least that’s what I thought. My father, Matthew, never spoke of that day or of my mother because the memory of her caused him a great pain. Now, that house wasn’t always a house. It used to be a creepy asylum in the 1950s. My parents decided to live there because of the forest that was really close by. They thought that it would be less expensive, but it actually cost our family more, do to the fact that it cost my mother’s life. My father and I had to move out from that place because it was filled with memories of my mother. While Matthew and I were living a good life, since he was earning enough money as his job being a therapist, things started changing. This starts when I was ten years old.

“Ahhhhh!” I screamed waking up from a horrible nightmare.
“What’s wrong Eden?” My dad asked running into my room. “Are you ok?”
“Yeah, but I just had this horrible nightmare!” I yelled, “I saw this woman in a white dress calling my name and asking for help. She was underneath this kind of building.”
“Don’t worry it was just a nightmare.” My dad said, “Now go back to sleep.”
“I can’t! I am scared.” I screamed.
“Come on, it’s 11:10,” my dad told me, “It’s very late, we’ll talk about it tomorrow.”
Although I was really horrified of having that same dream, I went back to sleep.
The next morning, my dad decided to talk about my nightmare while we ate breakfast.
“So, how are you buddy?” he asked holding the egg pan.
“Fine,” I say with bits of scrambled eggs in my mouth.
“Did you have that nightmare again last night?”
“No, but once was enough.”
“Do you want to tell me what it was about?”
“Well, in my dream I saw this woman in a white dress. She looked really pale and sad. Then she started calling out for me, asking for help.”
“Where did this take place?” dad said getting into his therapist voice.
“I don’t know. It looked like the ruins of a building.”
“Ok then, well it’s all over now.”
“I guess it is. What are we going to do today?”
“Well, I have to go to see a patient, but I can leave you here or I can take you to your cousin’s house.”
“No, I would rather just stay here.”
“Ok then, I will just go and get ready.”
“Sure thing dad! I will just watch some t.v.”
As my dad left the house, I began to think more and more about my nightmare. I was beginning to get worried and scared.
