Ambulance (DVD) Review tasks
Director Michael Bay has had a rough go of it recently. Between bloated, unrelenting Transformers sequels and mediocre direct-to-video projects, it has been onerous for audiences to get their repair of the motion specialist's trademark giddy thrills. Thankfully, the person who made Armageddon and Bad Boys returns with Ambulance, a small-scale thriller that gives a satisfying shot of his signature fashion.

In a movie that performs like one lengthy, breathless automotive chase, the movie follows navy veteran Will Sharp (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) as he seeks quick cash for his infirm spouse and infant son. He's recruited by his brother, Danny Sharp (Jake Gyllenhaal), to assist with a heist at a downtown Los Angeles bank. The two rapidly discover themselves ensnared in an escalating sequence of violence and deception.

What makes ซีรี่ย์จีน ซับไทย -grabbing is the way it splices together action sequences of different styles. The opening automobile chase feels completely authentic, with Bay's trademark high-octane visible style on full show: dazzling colours, shiny reverence for flipping vehicles, and the kind of vertiginous pleasure that comes from overhead drone shots swooping atop skyscrapers as they track down a cataclysmic crash in progress.

The editing team likewise is aware of how to pull the viewers in and out of each new burst of frenetic energy, increase suspense after which dropping again to reveal the characters' emotional states. The complete movie has a deranged sense of humor, too, with the occasional scene playing like a mash-up of Bong Joon-ho's Okja and Christopher Cross's ballad model of "Saving Private Ryan."

Despite its overlong running time, Ambulance has a lot to offer followers of the director's work. Its heist is ruthlessly thrilling, and it's clear that each Abdul-Mateen and Gonzalez are having enjoyable with their roles. Gyllenhaal, then again, is at his most over-the-top, delivering his lines with the sort of manic, zany enthusiasm that makes him a natural for films like this.


For essentially the most half, Ambulance is free of the sneering self-reference that has marred most of the director's newer films. Cam, Will's paramedic girlfriend performed by Eiza Gonzalez, gets a few scenes of her own to shine by way of the chaos, but she's not given much room to develop as a character beyond being his love curiosity..
