1. Колумбийский университет. Любой человек может учиться в одном из самых престижных университетов мира совершенно бесплатно. Мне этот вариант нравится больше всего, так как ты можешь окунуться в студенческую среду, учиться в тех же аудиториях, что и реальные студенты. Территория студенческого городка красива и облагорожена. И ВУЗ находится на Манхеттене.
У них 3 семестра: весенний, летний и осенний. Есть как утренние, так дневные и вечерние классы (уровень). Классы проходят с пн по чт по 2 часа в день. Уровни акглийского 1-5 из 10. Зарегистрироваться можно по ссылке. Выбрать ESL. Важно: необходимо сдать тест на уровень английского в одну из предложенных дат, прийти на ориентацию.
Я занималась на 5 уровне, также брала writing class. На 5 уровне каждый из дней недели вел отдельный преподаватель (почти все - носители языка). Т.е. один по пн, второй по вт. и т.д. Здесь все зависит сугубо от преподавателя. Если сильные, есть и послабее. Книга - одна. Д.з. не задавали. Все зависит от тебя, и от твоего желания учить язык. Writing - Valery. Сильная. И д.з.
2. Курсы в библиотеке. Во всех районах города. Важно - прийти на ориентацию. Взять номерок. Сдать тест на знание английского. 1-6 уровни.
