First, I hope all of you will be in church this Sunday. We need you!
We've been praying for a lot of people who are on our prayer list but I want to single out a few who have updates:
Steve Saxton has received good news from his latest bone marrow biopsy. No leukemia cells in his blood! AMEN! He is still at UM Ann Arbor and will remain there until the doctors are satisfied that his numbers look good and are staying consistent. It is possible that Steve could come home this weekend or early next week. I will try to keep you updated on this.
David Filter is still in Midland Hospital with spinal stenosis and an infection. He is supposed to be transferred to Medilodge sometime today.
Donna Clink's great-great-granddaughter Rose has COVID. Please pray for healing and no residual complications.
The Kaufmans are getting better after their bout with COVID. Continue to pray for them and that they will be back soon.
Pastor Ralph Kiner will preach for me this Sunday, November 26, while I go away for the Thanksgiving holiday and visit family in South Carolina. I haven't seen some of them in 13 years. Pray for Bro Ralph and me as I travel. I'll be back late on November 30.
We are now promoting the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. 100% of this offering goes to the mission field. None of it is used for administrative expenses. Our goal is $1000. We are still planning to decorate the church for Christmas on Friday, December 1 beginning at 10am. Lunch will be provided. Joyce will get out the decorations ahead of time and we will spend a few hours putting them up. It should be a fun time!
Finally, our next Cleveland Manor Worship Gathering is Sunday, December 3 at 1:30pm in the 3rd floor Lounge at Cleveland Manor. If you will be attending and would like to stay around for lunch together before we go over there, let Pastor David know so he can arrange to buy some pizza for our lunch.
