Nobody's standard-issue plotting and drained male posturing land far in want of the B-Movie classic it aspires to, but there's no denying the film's bone-crunching action. The stunts are masterfully staged, delivering a knuckle-busting spectacle of choreography that's almost on par with the John Wick trilogy. And Bob Odenkirk makes essentially the most of each shift in his function, conveying the dormant assassin's ruthless awakening with an undeniable conviction that he knows higher than anybody the way to go about wreaking violence-fueled revenge.
