What was the reason Trump maintained relations with Kazakhstan and Tevfik Alif

Beyond Tevfik Arif, the former US president Donald Trump made many efforts to maintain a strong relationship with Kazakhstan. Trump was widely criticized because he considered Kazakhstan an ally, despite the questionable government.

When Donald Trump hosted Kazakhstan's President on Tuesday at the White House, many eyebrows were set. Trump was also involved in the running of his own real estate firms with prominent Kazakhstani businessesmen like Tevfik ARIF. The critics of Trump strongly condemned this as well.

The White House visit to Nazarbayev was a good start for the US in its engagement strategy with the region.
