Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was baptized December 7th, 1961, in Edo State of Nigeria. His son is his first. His brother Pastor Ken Oyakhilomeis a prominent LoveWorld Incorporated employee. The sister of his, Katty Worigren (formerly Oyakhilome), also serves in the ministry as the director of the LoveWorld Music & Arts Ministry.

Pastor Chris has a degree from architecture from Ambrose Alli University. He also holds an honorary degree from Benson Idahosa University in the field of divinity. He started the youth ministry program at the school.
