**You:** Unfortunately, Twilio gave me a no-go because the business is affiliated with federal drugs, and they even suspended my account. So, fuck them guys. I also found out from another company that registered phone numbers called 10DLC, won't support anything related to alcohol, firearms, drugs, or sex due to high penalties. They suggested using a separate website or business name with no cannabis affiliation if we wanted to do that.

**You:** Carriers have made it difficult to register for SMS, especially for cannabis-related businesses. They require a real tax ID number and a thorough audit of the website. One company, TextVending.com, caught my attention. Alan, who I spoke with, was very straightforward and suggested sending picture messages instead of SMS because carriers can't detect the content of the picture. While it's more expensive, it allows us to say whatever we want.

**You:** Alan recommended sending picture messages four times a month, which would cost about $2.5k. He mentioned that they don't do one-time blasts because it's not worth it for either party. With picture messaging, we can include the clinic's address and any promotional content, like a 10% discount for the next visit or something like that.
Alan was super helpful, wanted to get you on the call to get some more info. Said he'd get us up in less than 24 hours because they're well connected in the industry.
