15 Gifts For Your Stroller All Terrain Lover In Your Life
Best All Terrain Stroller

If you are a fan of going for a run, hike on trails that are rocky or stroll through grassy parks then an all-terrain stroller is the perfect choice. You'll need big, durable tires paired with suspension that can handle the tumultuous terrain.

All terrain strollers help to instill a love of nature in your child. We test the mobility and ease of use as well as the ability to easily access the basket, engage brakes and insert and remove the infant seat (where applicable).

The Best Overall Stroller

If you are planning to utilize a stroller for transporting your child for many years it should be able to do more than just get them from A to B. Strollers are more prolific than rabbits. A stroller that can handle your family's entire outings is a wise investment.

Nuna MIXX Next is a multi-purpose stroller which can do it all. It's easy to store, folds down compactly, and glides smoothly on sidewalks, grass, and cobblestone. The lightweight PIPA Urbn car seat is also available in an entire travel solution. It's pricier than some of our other choices but our test-driver said it was worth the price as it's strong and able to easily take on even the roughest of outings.

For a light stroller that can still tackle some more rough terrain, consider three-wheelers. The Thule Shine is an excellent choice, and we've called it a previous winner in this category. It's a bit more costly than our other picks but it's sturdy, and has a lot of features (car seat compatible! Dual cup holders! that make it a worthwhile investment. It folds down small enough to fit in an overhead bin of an airplane which makes it a great option for families who travel a lot.

Wendy Schmitz, Senior Review Editor at Baby Gear Reviews has been reviewing strollers for over two year. She along with our product testing team run, push the strollers, fold and lift each stroller to test its functionality, performance, and comfort. All of them are moms and know the importance of a good stroller for daily use and family outings. This year, we expanded our test pool to include five stroller and parenting experts: Lisa Trofe, executive director of the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association; Kyleyn Gosewisch, customer care specialist at strolleria, a retailer that focuses on strollers; Marielle Marquez, a pediatric occupational therapist; Holly Choi, cofounder and co-owner of Safe Beginnings First Aid, an organization that provides children with safety resources as well as Sarah Huff, senior manager of community and customer relations at BabyQuip, a stroller and baby equipment rental business.

The BOB Sport Utility

The BOB Sport utility is a great stroller to choose when you want to get off the beaten track and get some exercise. all terrain pram jogging stoller features pneumatic knobby wheels that are great for trail runs, as well as a handbrake that allows you to control the downhills. It also boasts a state-of-the-art suspension system, a two-step folding design and a huge cargo basket. If you buy the correct adapters you can pair it with a child car seat.

The main flaw of this jogging stroller is its weight and folded dimensions. It weighs 25 pounds and folds to 17,850 cubic inches, which is the standard for this class. Its large footprint is not suitable for tight turns and small trunk spaces. However, it has an incredibly small handle at the back of the storage bin that can be pulled to collapse the stroller into a compact, flat position.

The stroller is easy to maneuver despite its size. The front wheel features a locking mechanism that lets you switch it between normal and locked running mode, and the handlebar can be adjusted in height for different parent heights. It also comes with a wide seat that can recline almost flat, and it also has a large vinyl peek-a-boo window that is easy to open and close.

The Sport Utility also scored a 9 out of 10 for its impressive quality. It has a thick aluminum frame that has tight connections, and no rough edges or poor stitching. It also has adjustable shocks, which help with smooth-rolling performance.

The Sport Utility stroller, like the other BOBs we've reviewed comes with adapters for car seats. This lets you use it with different car seats for infants. In our tests, it took about 5:24 minutes to put together the stroller from unpacking it to being ready to go. The assembly was straightforward however, you'll need a Philips screwdriver. The manual included is easy to follow and well-organized, however it's an excellent idea to have one on hand just in case.

The Baby Trend Expedition

The design is crafted with style, safety features and ease of use in mind, this jogger has parents' tray with 2 cup holders, a covered storage and a swing-away child's tray with two cup holders. The adjustable canopy that has a peek-a-boo window and the extra-wide ergonomically shaped handle offer comfort for both parents. The lockable front wheel can be removed while strolling, and locked for jogging. The large storage basket is perfect for storing essential travel items.

Consumer Reports' Strollers test program confirms that the Baby Trend Expedition Jogger is a good value for its price and has higher scores than most of its rivals across a variety of categories. This includes ease of using the 5-point harness folding and unfolding and adjusting the backrest, engaging the brakes on the wheel, and infant car seat removal and installation (only for compatible models). It's a simple design with a one-handed recline that's deep enough to allow napping. However the canopy cover that ratchets isn't always easy to secure. It takes about 8 minutes to set up and the directions are confusing, with several languages and confusing illustrations.

The only drawback for this jogger is its lack of a suspension system. This means that the ride could be bumpier than other all-terrain strollers. This could make it uncomfortable for children who are younger, especially when their nap is about to start. It does have air-filled tires however they don't offer as much shock absorption as the rubber wheels found on more expensive strollers.

This is an excellent option for those who don't exercise often but still need to be able to easily move over gravel or grass without having to worry about curbs or other obstacles. It is an excellent choice for families with a little space, since it folds down into a compact size. It is lighter than most of the other strollers we've tested and can fit into spaces that many full-size strollers don't.

It's also easier to lift and move than the larger joggers we have tested. This can be important if you have to lift it into and out of the trunk of your vehicle regularly or if you're constantly traveling.

The Nipper Sport V4

Nipper Sport V4 is the best jogger for any terrain. This latest version of Out 'n' About's three-wheeled jogging stroller is designed specifically for jogging, and has large 16 pneumatic alloy tyres designed to take on even the most difficult trails and tracks. The Nipper is also light and compact, making it simple to fold and transport.

This pushchair has a number of features that make it suitable to tackle any type of terrain, including front suspension and a handlebar brake. It also comes with an adjustable recline seat with a an adjustable quilted seat liner as well as a padded five point safety harness and a hinged bumper bar. It's also travel system-compatible which means you can use it with a Cybex Maxi-Cosi, Maxi-Cosi, or Be-Safe infant car seat.

Another excellent feature of this buggy is the large front wheel, which helps ensure a smooth ride for your child. This is particularly crucial when it comes to tackling terrain that is difficult, as it allows the buggy to follow better and glide more easily over dips and bumps. Nipper Sport is easy to drive and has a single pedal brake. The handlebar is ergonomically designed and comes with a a single pedal easy-lock brake and a movable steering. The buggy is also easy to fold and has clear step-by-step directions and photos in the user's manual.

The Nipper Sport is suitable for children who are older than of six months, and can be used with a newborn due to its built-in infant insert. However, it isn't recommended for use with babies younger than six months, as the seat's harness isn't strong enough to keep them.

Another problem with this pushchair is its lack of a storage basket under the seat. It does have a small grocery pouch on the back of the seat, but it won't be large enough for a large changing bag. It is easy to open and close. Two hand-holds are required to release the plastic catch on either side of the lower frame. There is also a secondary lock catch on the red handlebar, which can be released by one hand, making it extremely easy to use.
