Acromantula
Acromantula ini ber-KKM: XXXXX dan statusnya beast. Acromantula adalah laba-laba raksasa bermata delapan yang mampu berbicara seperti manusia. Mereka berasal dari hutan rimba Borneo yang lebat. Ciri khususnya meliputi rambut hitam tebal yang menutupi tubuhnya, panjang kakinya yang mungkin bisa mencapai empat setengah meter, mata yang berwarna hitam (putih jika buta), capitnya yang berbunyi “klik-klik-klik” bila si Acromantula marah atau gembira. Acromantula pemakan daging dan lebih suka melahap mangsa yang besar. Hewan ini memintal jaring-jaringnya yang berbentuk kubah di tanah. Yang betina lebih besar dari yang jantan, dan sekali bertelur bisa mencapai 100 butir.
Bentuk fisik telurnya berwarna putih, lembek, berukuran sebesar bola pantai, dan menetas dalam waktu enam sampai delapan minggu. Telur Acromantula termasuk Benda-Benda yang Tidak Boleh Diperdagangkan (Kelas A) oleh Departemen Pengaturan dan Pengawasan Makhluk Gaib, yang berarti hukuman berat dikenakan bila ada yang menjual maupun mengimpornya. Meskipun kepandaian mereka mendekati manusia, Acromantula tidak dapat dilatih dan amat berbahaya baik bagi penyihir maupun Muggle.
