It Movie Review - The Best Stephen King Adaptation in Decades
The first teaser for the new it movie was fucking terrifying. It promised a full-blown R rated horror remake of the miniseries from 1990. And it delivered. It's the best Stephen King adaptation in decades.

Unlike most modern horror films which rely heavily on jump scares, It builds its fright from fear itself. This is why it feels more like The Goonies or Stand By Me than any slasher movie or modern horror film. Director Andy Muschietti (Mama, the recent disappointment) has crafted a movie that's more about bonding amongst outcast kids than it is about the dreaded evil clown.

It stars a bunch of perfectly cast kids that you'll want to hang out with. They all have something that sets them apart from other kids in their small town. Bill has a stutter, Ben is the "fat kid", Richie is a loudmouth prankster, Eddie is a hypochondriac and Mike is African-American and homeschooled. Together, they're the Losers Club. And they're going to take on Pennywise.

Even though ดูหนังออนไลน์ hd is a remake of the original, it manages to feel fresh and new. And that's mostly due to the excellent acting from the kids. Muschietti does a great job of letting their personalities shine through while also making them appear vulnerable and scared. He allows them to squirm and wince in ways that adults would never let them do.

But it's Skärl Skarsgard as Pennywise that really makes the movie shine. ดูหนังออนไลน์ 4k 's a perfect match for the character, and his low-key performance is more creepy than Tim Curry was in the 90's version of the movie. This movie isn't for everyone, but it's a solid horror flick that manages to elicit honest-to-goodness tingles instead of constant jump scares.

As is always the case with horror movies, this one will make you want to see it again and again. And if you're a fan of Stephen King, you'll definitely appreciate that this isn't just another run-of-the-mill film.

The only problem with this movie is that it's a little too long. It would have been better if they cut out some of the unnecessary scenes and added in more time for the characters to develop.

But besides that, this is an excellent film. It's worth the money and the time to see it.

Parents, we know you love your kids, but please don't let them see this movie without you. There's some disturbing images in this one, including violence against children and animals. Also, the plot involves some sex and nudity that you may not be comfortable with your children seeing.

The story in It is a bit confusing, and it doesn't always follow the timeline from the book. You might even find yourself wanting to watch it again just for the great performances from the kids. And the fact that It has a sense of adventure that isn't found in many horror movies anymore makes it even more enjoyable.
