Es gibt zwei Arten von Uhren: eine mechanische Uhr und eine Quarzuhr. Eine Quarzuhr ist einfach eine Uhr, die von einem batteriebetriebenen Uhrwerk angetrieben wird.
WIE EINE QUARZUHR FUNKTIONIERT Im Wesentlichen gibt die Batterie eine kleine Menge Strom an einen Mikrochip ab, der einen Quarzkristall zum Vibrieren bringt. Der Mikrochip erfasst, wie schnell dieser Quarzkristall vibriert, und gibt diese an einen Elektromotor weiter, der dann alle Räder im Inneren einer Uhr dreht. Diese wiederum bewegen die Zeiger.
Die Vibration (Schwingung bei Uhren) ist sehr genau, daher sind Quarzuhren tatsächlich die genaueste Art von Uhren.
Seien Sie gewarnt, achten Sie darauf Idioten wie ich sind nicht in Quarzuhren verliebt. Wenn Sie also darüber nachdenken, eine Uhr als Geschenk zu kaufen, sollten Sie es sich vielleicht noch einmal überlegen. Warum? Nun, um ehrlich zu sein, ich habe mehrere davon. Doch obwohl sie präziser und billiger als mechanische Uhren sind, haben sie etwas an sich, das nicht so magisch ist.
