Despite a lack of mainstream media promotion and a perfunctory trailer that quietly dropped online before its release, dahmer netflix has quickly become one of the most popular new releases on Netflix. It was the platform’s second most-watched series in its first week of availability, and it’s been in the top 10 global chart for weeks. It has even pushed past the popularity of some of its bigger rivals.

Whether you’re thirsty for blood or just interested in the complexities of serial killing and its impact on victims, it’s hard to not be drawn into this dark and compelling drama. Featuring the real-life story of infamous cannibal serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, it delves into the many ways that institutional failures, systemic racism, and homophobia enabled the monster to kill for so long. ซีรี่ย์จีน พากย์ไทย จบแล้ว gives voice to his many victims and focuses on the largely overlooked figure of Glenda Cleveland (Niecy Nash), the neighbor who desperately tried to alert authorities about her suspicious neighbor.

Starring Evan Peters as Dahmer, it’s a sombre and unsettling watch. The gore is limited to plot-relevant scenes but it still makes your skin crawl and the many depictions of his murders are difficult to watch, especially considering how little has changed in terms of police negligence and their “blue wall” of silence around the killings of marginalized people. The performance of Richard Jenkins as Dahmer’s father Lionel is particularly strong, capturing the confusion and discomfort of a man who doesn’t know how to help his son and who believes that he can cure his mental illness with “tough love” or firm guidance.

What keeps it from being utterly devastating to watch is that it’s not just a sour and sad piece of television, but rather an intelligent and fascinating exploration of the ways in which evil people can ruin lives. The show makes clear the various factors that allowed Dahmer to kill so many people, including his unstable childhood and his fetish for preying on young men in vulnerable positions. It also examines how he was able to use his position of power and authority to manipulate the local community, media, and his victims.

However, there are ซีรี่ย์จีน โรแมนติก when the drama becomes too much like a two-dimensional true crime soap opera. The jumps in chronology are distracting and the characterization of Dahmer is somewhat shallow. The series tries to make him, at times, a hauntingly terrifying character whose reason for what he did is beyond our comprehension but mostly he comes across as vacant and kind of oafish. ซีรี่ย์จีน พากย์ไทย จบแล้ว feels like it could be much better if it weren’t so engrossingly bland and surface-level.
