The Santa Claus Movie
The Santa Claus Movie is a fun retelling of the story of Christmas with a modern twist. Tim Allen gives a great performance as a curmudgeonly Santa and the film has some darker sense of humor that works well with the story. The relationships between the characters are also nicely examined and this helps add some depth to the story.

The film does take a bit of time in the beginning as it set up the mundane workings of the North Pole but once things get moving it's a lot of fun. The special effects are good enough and there's some pretty cool scenes of Santa flying around New York City. The cast is solid and it includes a number of familiar faces. ซีรี่ย์จีน พากย์ไทย จบแล้ว is a riot as an over the top villain and his death at the end (he's blasted into outer space to slowly suffocate) is a bit jaw dropping.

One of the more underrated modern Santa films is this one from director John Pasquin. The film features a surprisingly solid performance by Tim Allen as Santa Claus and the rest of the cast is impressive. The idea behind the film is a little different than what most would expect and it makes for some really interesting and unexpected moments.

As the film moves along it takes more and more liberties with the myth but at no point is it offensive or obscene. The script is well written and the performances are solid. It may be a bit too much of a good thing in some ways as it can become a little over the top and silly but overall it's a very enjoyable film.

Despite its age this is still a very fun film to watch. It's got a good mix of fantasy and reality and it really has some of the best performances by Santa ever committed to the screen. The arc of Santa's character is well done and his relationship with his son Charlie is quite touching.

This is a good family film with some decent special effects and plenty of laughs. It's a bit on the cheesy side but it's not so cheesy that it will offend or make your kids cry. The 108 minute running time is a little on the long side but most kids will be distracted by the sheer size of Santa's workshop and the silliness of his sleigh rides through NYC. It's definitely worth a look. Especially if you're a fan of the original TV series. The film is also the first in the Santa Cinematic Universe and it lays the groundwork for several sequels.
