Hey everyone, my name is Ceayras Allen, but I prefer to be called CeCe. I'm majoring in criminal Justice I want to pursue a career in being a police officer but over time I want to be a detective. I have used word and PowerPoint to complete assignments but, I don't know what version it was. I don't think I've ever used Microsoft office i hope to use it soon and it will help me in my career interest because I will know how to use computers. Microsoft was initially focused on making computer software, but they didn't realize how important networking and the Internet would become. In 1993, they released a program called Windows NT that helped connect different computers and made networks more reliable and secure. At first, not many people bought it, but by 1996 it became really popular and was the main way people connected their computers. Microsoft didn't start making Internet software until another company called Netscape made a program called Navigator that made it easy to explore the Internet. Microsoft quickly made their own Internet browser called Internet Explorer and gave it away for free. They tried really hard to get computer makers and Internet providers to only use their browser. Netscape got mad and said Microsoft was breaking the rules, so they sued them. This made the government start investigating Microsoft again.
