How to Use the Netflix Party Extension on Chrome
Netflix Party is an easy-to-use Chrome extension that allows you to watch movies together with friends who are miles away. Simply install the extension, share the URL that’s generated with everyone who needs to join, and start watching. The app works with both the web and mobile versions of Netflix, but you’ll need all invitees to have access to the same account to use it.

In addition, the app allows you to customize your personal user icon and nickname so everyone can recognize who’s chatting with whom.

The app is similar to other video chat apps that allow you to stream TV together, like Teleparty and Metastream. These services allow you to live chat while watching Hulu, Disney Plus, and HBO, as well as Netflix. But unlike those other apps, Netflix Party only supports the platform for which it’s designed. For example, you won’t be able to watch the same movie at the same time with Hulu or Disney Plus.
