Dune Movie 2020 Cast Revealed cast
After years of delays, the dune movie 2020 cast is finally beginning to take form. The movie is an adaptation of Frank Herbert’s basic sci-fi saga about households feuding for management over the uncommon spice known as melange that unlocks interstellar travel. Director Denis Villeneuve has plenty of work forward of him but the cast seems solid thus far. Timothee Chalamet stars as Paul Atreides, a young man who inherits House Atreides from his father and takes up the fight to defend the desert planet Arrakis and its valuable melange useful resource. His family’s allies include Rebecca Ferguson and Oscar Isaac as Duke Leto Atreides and his mother Lady Jessica. Josh Brolin is Gurney Halleck, the weapons master of House Atreides and Paul’s mentor. And Jason Momoa, shorn of his trademark beard, plays Duncan Idaho, the Atreides’ master of swords.

The film’s rivals are led by Stellan Skarsgard as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, the ruthless leader of his family’s rival house. He’s so overweight that he requires anti-gravity gadgets to assist himself and is understood for his blatant greed and cruel remedy of the Fremen. Dave Bautista joins the solid as Glossu Rabban, the Baron’s monstrous nephew and henchman. Sharon Duncan-Brewster rounds out the primary solid as Liet Kynes, the lead planetologist of Arrakis who has pure talents akin to these of the Bene Gesserit. The character was played by Sean Young within the 1984 movie but Villeneuve wants to discover the function with a feminine lead, adding that he is “very feminist, very pro-women.”

Lea Seydoux, who gained awards for Cannes movies One Fine Morning and Crimes of the Future, stars as Princess Margot Fenring, Paul’s sister and member of the Bene Gesserit order. The sisters are trained warriors who serve the Emperor as truthsayers and spies for their order. Sian Phillips performed the Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam within the 1984 movie but Charlotte Rampling replaces her within the 2021 adaptation.

The rest of the dune movie 2020 cast consists of David Dastmalchian as Piter De Vries, Stephen McKinley Henderson as Thufir Hawat, Chang Chen as Dr. Wellington Yueh and extra. But it’s the forged of actors playing the Fremen, the inhabitants of Arrakis that Villeneuve is especially enthusiastic about. Javier Bardem is Stilgar, the leader of the Fremen tribe and Paul’s love interest. Zendaya plays Chani, the daughter of Liet-Kynes who is presented with powers akin to those of the Bene gesserit and has a special connection to Paul. baan series serves as his mentor. The actress is an ideal fit for the position, saying that Villeneuve had informed her “he wished to write this half for a woman as a result of he thinks there aren’t sufficient strong feminine roles out there.”
