In 2016, the Stevens bought the close by Mermaids Casino and the Glitter Gulch strip club. gicccasino.com and Glitter Gulch closed later in 2016, with plans to demolish them to make more room for the brand new resort. Derek Stevens had initially deliberate to build a resort on the positioning known as Lucky Line, designed by Paul Steelman. That year, Derek Stevens also bought a 2-acre site across the road from the Las Vegas Membership, between the Plaza Lodge & Casino and the primary Avenue Station. Derek Stevens initially thought of renovating the Las Vegas Membership, however he disliked its design and determined to demolish it fully to build a brand new resort in its place.
