CARA MEMBUAT KERTAS MENGGUNAKAN DAUN KERING
ALAT
Blender Ember/baskom Skrap/pengaduk Kain scren/cetakan sablon Panci Pemanas penyarin
BAHAN
a. Sampah daun kering (100gram)
b. Lem kayu/lem fox (100 gram)
c. Pewarna (secukupnya)
d. Soda kaustik (NaOH) (5 gram)
e. Air (1 liter) Cara membuat :
1. Pertama Daun kering dikumpulkan, kemudian dipotong kecil-kecil.
2. Lalu Direbus dalam air mendidih, dengan menambahkan sedikit soda kaustik (NaOH) sampai daun lunak.
3. Setelah dingin, kemudian disaring dan dibersihkan dengan air bersih. Lalu dihaluskan dengan menggunakan blender sampai menjadi bubur (pulp).
4. Daun yang sudah menjadi bubur kertas disaring dan ditiriskan.
5. Setelah airnya berkurang, bubur kertas dicampur dengan lem kayu dengan perbandingan 1 : 1.
6. Jika diperlukan, untuk mempercantik hasilnya (kertas seni) ditambahkan pewarna.
7. Kemudian dari bubur kertas yang sudah dicampur dengan lem dicetak dalam cetakan sablon/kain scren dengan ketebalan kurang lebih 5 cm (tergantung kebutuhan) dan ukuran kertas folio.
8. Bubur yang sudah dicetak dikeringkan di bawah sinar matahari sampai kering sehingga diperoleh kertas seni untuk dibuat hiasan atau lainnya.
