As the hearth season starts our state has been under critical threat. Our Hills District fire fighters have been asked to assist in areas under threat in Tenterfield and Glenn Innes.
The Hills district has many fire fighters on their means for deployment throughout the Mid North Coast on part forty four wildfires and there will be extra deployments throughout this unstable fire season.

More than 20 members of the Hills District RFS have been recognised for his or her dedication and achievements at a special ceremony held on the Dural Country Club.
Commissioner of the RFS Rob Rogers joined the Hills District Manager Superintendent Glen McCartney to present three National Emergency Medals, 1 Humanitarian Overseas Service Medal, thirteen National Medals and 5 Long Service Medals to the members at the ceremony.
The National Emergency Medal is awarded to individuals who rendered sustained or important service during nationally vital emergencies in Australia, including the 2019-2020 bush fires.
The commissioner said “Members of The Hills District have always answered the call, not only aiding with incidents locally but additionally to communities in want across the state.”
Kenthurst RFS proudly honours two extraordinary members of our team, Sue Talbert and Anthony Papallo for their distinctive commitment and service.
Sue has been awarded her 2nd Clasp for the National Medal, marking over 35 years of service.
Anthony has earned his 10-year Long Service Medal.
