Kenthurst News at The Fire Station

As the hearth season begins our state has been beneath severe threat. Our Hills District fireplace fighters have been requested to assist in areas under threat in Tenterfield and Glenn Innes.
The Hills district has many fire fighters on their method for deployment all through the Mid North Coast on part 44 wildfires and there shall be extra deployments throughout this risky fire season.

AWARDS NIGHT
More than 20 members of the Hills District RFS have been recognised for their dedication and achievements at a particular ceremony held at the Dural Country Club.

Commissioner of the RFS Rob Rogers joined the Hills District Manager Superintendent Glen McCartney to present three National Emergency Medals, 1 Humanitarian Overseas Service Medal, 13 National Medals and 5 Long Service Medals to the members on the ceremony.

The National Emergency Medal is awarded to individuals who rendered sustained or vital service throughout nationally important emergencies in Australia, including the 2019-2020 bush fires.

The commissioner stated “Members of The Hills District have all the time answered the decision, not only aiding with incidents regionally but in addition to communities in want throughout the state.”

Kenthurst RFS proudly honours two extraordinary members of our team, Sue Talbert and Anthony Papallo for his or her exceptional dedication and repair.

Sue has been awarded her 2nd Clasp for the National Medal, marking over 35 years of service.

Kenthurst News at The Fire Station has earned his 10-year Long Service Medal.
