After living in the London all of my life, i have, at the age of 14 decided to become a Lambeth council youth officer for the labour party. As you may be aware, there are currently 15 labour Councillors on the board, along-side 36 conservative ; 7 liberal Democrats ; 1 UkIP; 1 green and 2 TUSC councilors who are all ( excluding 4) over the age of 18. as a labour youth officer, i will be 1 of the 4 of 62 councillers that are youth officers under the age of 18. the youth labour team and i have constructed beneficial policies which are:
- Harsher sentences for anyone who is caught caring weapons on the streets of london that can cause malicious damage to a person or animal .
- making areas like oxford street and parliament square pedestrianized so people from london and all across the world can not only benefit from safer walking space but cleaner city air
- making cyclists feel safer in london, by ensuring areas like Stratford and clapham gyratories are cycle friendly and no HGVs in rush hour ensuring cycle and pedestrian safety for all.
these are just some of the ideas that i will to commit to when elected a youth officer. i do thank-you for taking the time out of your day to read this and i hope i am able to count on your vote!
