One windy Wednesday I missed the bus to school. So I whet to tell mum but she said I start work early today you'll have to walk to school. I was not happy. On the way to school I saw an elephant in the zoo. Then I wonder it would be cool to lean about elephants this week. Ones I got to school I asked Mrs Sally if I could lean about elephants. Mrs Sally said yes here are some books about elephants. After school I whet home to read the books I got from Mrs Sally. One book said that there are 2 types of elephants they are Asian and the African and that elephants are the largest land living mammals in the world. I thought that was pretty amazing. Another thing I found in one of my books was that an elephant can use its tusks to dig for ground water and elephants need up to 210 litres of water to drink a day and that elephants have big thin ears. The next day I got on the bus and had another look in my book it said that elephants can swim. I thought that was impossible, but they use their trunk to breathe like a snorkel in deep water. When I got to school Mrs Sally said how are the books. the books are good I said. I have lean a lot. Then Mrs Sally said I know a little about elephants, I know that elephants have 5 toes on each foot but not every toe has a nail.
