I received an Application For Board Review from my previous attorney, McGillicuddy Law Firm dated 12/12/2023. We had a hearing on 10/31/2023 in which I agreed to settle the case, indemnity only with
New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company. I was told by McGuillicuddy Law Firm that $190,000.00 minus $13,000 overpayment was the final offer through my adjuster. I called and spoke with the legal team at NJM and they told me everything is negotiable. At that time I terminated McGillicuddy Law Firm. I never spoke after that to my adjuster that being I KNEW he wasn't the person to speak with to discuss my settlement. I was able to
agree to $260,00.00 and overpayment was dropped. That is $73,000.00 more than the final offer that I got from
McGillicuddy Law Office. If I was able to find out the right person to speak with, who I know was never mentioned.
to me in the past and negotiated my final amount. I feel that McGilluddy Law did not work hard enough for me
and do not deserve what they are asking for a fee of $28.500.00. I did the leg work for all my surgeries and equipment I need every day. I had a hearing in 2001 and then one in 2022. So for 20 years nothing by them
was done. I communicated with my adjuster and was able to get things approved with McGillicuddy Law.
I don't really understand all of their application but know on 10/31/2023 at the hearing I had all of my paperwork ready and they wanted to go with services rendered. I never saw a billing of hours or bill for time spend on the phone. An email submitted by them after 10/31/2023 to The WCB Board I never saw until I looked up my case on the website. They were unprepared and I guess they thought the services rendered was acceptable. I DO NOT. As with anything I like to see an itemized bill for what I am being charged for. Please consider my appeal of Application For Board Review.
