The Marston House is a historic residence placed in the middle of San Diego, originally built in 1905. This spectacular property presents an getaway from the rush and bustle of city life with its verdant nurseries, elegant architecture, and sense of old charm.
History
The Marston House has a vivid history. It was initially entrusted by notable San Diego residents George Marston and his wife Anna to serve as their private residence. Planned in the Arts and Crafts mode by renowned local architects Irving Gill and William Hebbard, no expense was spared to create a property that reflected the Marston family's enjoyment for beauty as well as devotion to social progress.
Over the decades, The Marston House moved through numerous owners. Luckily previous caretakers had the prudence to preserve the property to maintain its historic architectural integrity. In laplumedelislam , the Save Our Heritage Organization (SOHO) purchased and renewed the residence, converting it into a cultural center and museum.
Accommodations
The Marston House now runs as a historic house museum and functions venue. Bonuses can take escort-led tours to see the property's original 20th century Arts and Crafts equipment and décor.
