Shaun the Sheep - More Than Simply a Pop Star

Shaun the Sheep is the star of 6 television series and 2 feature movies, however he's more than just a global pop star. Known for his naughty methods, the woolly superstar and his buddies at Mossy Bottom farm are likewise seen in commercials, live programs, video game, books, and even a museum exhibit.

Nick Park initially produced a plasticine sheep named Shaun for his 1995 short film Wallace and Gromit in A Close Shave, and it wasn't long before the naughty little guy became a worldwide star of television and movies. Shaun's television program and movies are made at Aardman Studios in Bristol, using stop-frame animation, a method where objects are shot frame by frame to create the illusion of motion when repeated at typical speed. Design makers use a variety of products to make the characters, with modelling clay being an essential active ingredient. Fingerprints are frequently noticeable, a sign of the work that goes into each and every shot!

The Farmer's Girlfriend is an adventurous woman who initially appeared in Series 2 and appears in lots of episodes. She's an animal lover who often pats Bitzer and Shaun and offers food to Timmy. She's a bit spoiled, however, as she whines and shouts when her plans go wrong. She and the Farmer's Niece are particularly irksome to Shaun and Bitzer.
The farmer's cat, Pidsley (singing effects by Justin Fletcher), is a minor character without any fur, who makes his debut in Series 1 and last appeared in We Wish Ewe a Merry Christmas. He's a smart and sneaky feline who thinks he's much better than the sheep and is envious of his friend Bitzer. He interacts with the flock through meows and trills, in addition to with his human owners through words. He's a surprisingly good friend to the sheep and assists them avoid problem, though he can be a bit overprotective of his food.
