It was the preferred entrance for local farmers trying to sell their produce inside city walls. With our map in hand and list of attractions nearby we started our walking tour of Treviso. So put on some comfortable shoes and let’s enjoy a few charming things to do in Treviso.
The Chiesa di San Francesco is a cool high brick structure with a massive ship’s keel roof. The decorative highlights are some faded medieval frescoes. The work is echoed less convincingly by another artist in the end chapel. You can book the entire salon for yourself and someone special, whoever that may be. - centro estetico Treviso :
They've written over 2 million reviews in order to help you choose your next salon or therapy centre. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site. Offering free parking and modern air-conditioned rooms with wood floors, free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs with Sky channels, Hotel Rovere is 10 minutes' by bus from Treviso center. Your room at the Rovere is individually designed and also features a mini-bar, pay-per-view TV channels, and a private bathroom with toiletries and hairdryer.
This historical city is bursting with attractions and can be reached from Treviso in under 40 minutes by train or bus. This part of Treviso is one of the most authentic and there is no better way to watch the locals than to visit the fish market and watch the traders and buyers haggle and strike up a deal. Located on one of the central canals in the town centre, this small island can be accessed by two bridges and in the centre there is a bustling fish market. Located in the south western part of the old town, the church is of immense size and towers over the surrounding structures. The ground floor of this museum contains various archaeological finds from the region including a brilliant collection of marble statues.
This post reminds me we need to plan to visit the small towns outside of Venice. Treviso looks like a lovely spot with both canals and less tourists. I can see how this would be a great base to use to day trip to Venice. Car parking is available at Hotel Carlton at an extra cost and reservation is needed. Hotel Carlton provides modern, well-decorated rooms, all of which come fully equipped with WiFi internet access and plasma-screen satellite television. A coffee machine and an electric kettle can be provided in the room, at an additional cost.
Noteworthy is also the fresco of St Christopher on the eastern side of the church, which is the most ancient depiction in glass in Europe. Treviso was taken in 1797 by the French under Mortier, who was made duke of Treviso. French domination lasted until the defeat of Napoleon, after which it passed to the Austrian Empire. The citizens, still at heart loyal to the fallen Venetian Republic, were displeased with imperial rule and in March 1848, drove out the Austrian garrison. However, after the town was bombarded, the people were compelled to capitulate on the following 14 June. Austrian rule continued until Treviso was annexed with the rest of Veneto to the Kingdom of Italy in 1866.
It is definitely not a first tourist destination especially being in the Venice area, but it has its own appeal that will leave you surprised. Known as little Venice, Treviso has quite a few water canals crossing the old town inside the ancient city walls. The most famous of these canals is Buranelli which traverses the town from North to South. Buranelli Canals run along River Cagnan all the way through Treviso old town and it meets the larger River Sile. What makes the Buranelli canals special, is the covered shopping area built right alongside the river as it winds its way down South. Treviso is a city of art, and there’s no better place to learn about it than the two largest museums in town.
Why is this guide intended for “mindful travelers,” you ask? Well, Treviso is great for anyone who’s already been to Italy a few times. It’s perfect for visitors who are mindful of overtourism in nearby Venice. If you consider yourself an “off-the-beaten-path” traveler, this quaint town will probably be right up your alley. It is the frenzy and the incessant rhythms of Milan that make it a stimulated city.
Venice Santa Lucia Train Station is 30 km from the accommodation, while Frari Basilica is 30 km away. The nearest airport is Treviso, 4 km from Palazzina300, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Since 2012 the hairstylists Christian and Marco have opened this salon well-known brand Tony & Guy and they are the point of reference of the Milan Fashion Week. They are aimed at a unisex clientele for anyone who loves glamor and fashion. The studio is frequented by models and VIPs and their strong point is the color, dictating the law on cuts and colors. The data collected by the Website during its operation is utilised exclusively for the aforementioned purposes and retained for the time strictly necessary to carry out the activities specified.
In the nearby church of San Francesco, Petrarch’s daughter and Dante’s son sleep in their stone beds. There are more churches to be seen, as well as fine medieval buildings and canvases by Renaissance artists, but Treviso is about taking things easy, not frenzied culture-chasing. Enjoy a tranquil moment leaning on a balustrade, watching the ducks glide by. Hire a bike and bowl along the Restera, a grassy, tree-shaded riverside path where, on Sunday mornings in spring, the locals enjoy a passeggiata on wheels. That’s why regular hair appointments can be important me-time. So don't scrimp this month, book in and feel your spirits lift.

You build your own by choosing from a selection of deli meats, cheeses, and veggies. The staff here can even help you pair meats and cheeses if you need suggestions. I really liked the creamy cheese spread I got, not to mention their amazing seasoned tomatoes and eggplant slices. In contrast, most of Treviso’s canals run perpendicular to streets.
