The most famous of these canals is Buranelli which traverses the town from North to South. Buranelli Canals run along River Cagnan all the way through Treviso old town and it meets the larger River Sile. What makes the Buranelli canals special, is the covered shopping area built right alongside the river as it winds its way down South. Treviso is a city of art, and there’s no better place to learn about it than the two largest museums in town.

It’s now one of my favorite kinds of pastas, and I’ll be on the lookout for it whenever I’m at an authentic Italian restaurant! It’s thick, filling, and absorbs sauce and flavor really well. Since this major tourist destination has no vehicular roads, the city is extremely dense.

For a cheap self-service lunch, I recommend the branch of Brek on Corso del Popolo. Asolo is a small town and commune located in northern Italy in the Veneto region; it’s one of the most beautiful borghi d’Italia. The town is located in the province of Treviso and is known by several names like “The city of a Hundred Horizons” because of its beautiful location. Originally the town had been settled by the Veneti and in the early Middle Ages it was under the possession of the Ezzelino family. Asolo had been under the possession of the Republic of Venice.
You can walk across the entire town in around half an hour, hence Treviso is best explored on foot. MOM is the major transport company in the city and provides for urban and suburban services in the Province of Treviso. Treviso Centrale railway station has Trenitalia trains to Venice, Padua, Belluno, Portogruaro, Vicenza, Udine and Trieste. Dante Bridge in Treviso Ponte Dante crosses the narrow Cagnan river at the point where it flows into the Sile. This place was mentioned by Dante Alighieri in the third part of the Divine Comedy ("Paradise").

When this street forks, take Via XX Settembre veering to the left. This brings you to the town’s civic heart, Piazza dei Signori, a pleasant square with a street running along one side and cafés with outdoor tables along the other.
