We are the researchers from the College of Criminology in Foundation University. Our research is entitled “The Lived Experiences of Brgy. Captain in the effectiveness of Dispute Resolution in the year 2023-2024: A Case Study.”


In this interview, I will be asking you questions and allow you to answer them on your own pace.


1.What is your name and your Brgy.?
( BISAYA: Unsa’y pangalan nimo og sa imo Barangay?)


2. How long you been working in the government as a Brgy. Captain?
( BISAYA:Pila naman ka katuig ga serbisyo sa gobyerno isip usa ka kapitan? )



3. Are you aware about Alternative Dispute Resolution(ADR)?
( BISAYA: Kahibalo ba ka kabahin sa Alternative Dispute
Resolution(ADR)?

4. What are the disputes you have encountered being a barangay captain? And how did you respond to it?
( BISAYA: Isip usa ka kapitan nga ga serbisyo, unsa ang mga problema nga imo na agian og giunsa nimo pagsulbad? )


5. How important is your leadership here in your barangay in terms of resolving disputes?
(BISAYA: Unsa ka importante ang imong pagdala sa imong barangay ilabina sa pagtabang sa paggama og solusyon sa mga reklamo o problema sa imo mga katawhan?)


6. What are the struggles that you’ve encounter on achieving the effectiveness of the Dispute Resolution in your brgy?
(BISAYA: Unsay mga kalisod nga imong naagian sa pag sulbad sa mga problema sa inyong baranggay?)


7. When your people raising their concerns about certain issue, what is the first step and other procedure for submitting a complaint to the barangay, is there a cost involved?
( BISAYA: Kung adunay mga reklamo sa imo katawhan, unsay unang buhaton nila or unsay mga proseso? Naa ba nay bayad? )


8. What are the lessons you have learned from your experiences in handling disputes within your barangay, and do you improve your system in your barangay from those experiences?

(BISAYA: Unsay mga nakat-onan nimo gikan sa pag sulbad sa mga problema sa imo mga katawhan, naa ba kay gi usab gikan sa imong nakat-onan?)


9. If there are any disputes that are not settled, what do usually happened next? Do they usually proceed to court or just ignore it?
(BISAYA: Unsay mahitabo sunod pag ang duha ka tawo dili maka sulbad sa ilang problema? Mo diritso ba sila sa korte or baliwalaon nalang nila?)


10. What are the different programs you offered in your barangay in order to minimize the dispute. Have you conducted programs or seminars about it?
( BISAYA: Unsa ang mga nagkalain-laing mga programa nga imo nahatag o napundar para makuhaan o mapagamyan ang mga problema o mga reklamo sa imo katawhan?)


11. Lastly, do you think dispute resolution in the barangay level
is important? And can you explain why?
(BISAYA: Para nimo, unsa ka importante ang despute resolution sa barangay level?)
