Designer Navy Bags Are the Latest Trend dominating Street Style
The latest street style trend is designer navy bags. Gigi Hadid, Sofia Richie and Dakota Johnson are all awed by Gucci's re-released Horsebit Chain bag. The style was first released in the 90s, but it's sleek silhouette is the perfect addition to your modern-day wardrobe.
Other designers have similar styles such as Marc Jacobs' compact Snapshot bag, a favorite among influential models like Kaia Gerber or Gigi Hadid. Mansur Gavriel is a minimalist brand that can be used year-round.
Alexander McQueen
Alexander McQueen is one of the most creative fashion designers of the past. The British designer melded artistry and extraordinary technical skills, creating collections that were as stimulating as they were beautiful. He was influenced by the past and culture, and frequently chose to interpret themes such as persecution and martyrdom. One of his most famous pieces was a sequin-skinned top with black and white photos depicting children of the Russian Imperial dynasty who were murdered by the Bolsheviks in 1918. The piece was a spooky reminder of the brutality and ferocity of war.
McQueen was born Lee McQueen in Lewisham, London on 17 March 1969. He grew up in the East End of London. His father was a taxi driver and his mother was a social science teacher. He left school at 16 and became an apprentice on London's Savile Row with Anderson and Sheppard where he was taught the art of tailoring. He then went on work with Italian designer Romeo Gigli where he learned more about fashion design. He earned a degree at Central Saint Martins where his entire collection of graduate work was purchased by fashion designer Isabella Blow.
After he left Givenchy in 1997, McQueen went on to establish his namesake label. His collections were a step beyond the limits and he was a pro at designing dresses that celebrated female bodies. He was also known for his collaborations with artists and his work like milliner Philip Treacy for whom he created iconic headwear. He tragically lost his own life in the year 2010 just a few days after the death of his mother.
After his death, Kering acquired his nameake label and continues to create highly-acclaimed collections that blend traditional workmanship with a feeling of uncompromising creativity. The new collection features everything from coats, dresses and bags. It is characterized by its contemporary interpretation of classic designs. Its bags are particularly coveted, from the Knuckle family to the instantly recognizable Seal and Peak designs. The range of women's navy designer bags is elegant and luxurious, and will bring the perfect touch of luxury to any outfit.
Louis Vuitton
The Louis Vuitton brand is a pioneer in fashion inspired by travel from iconic bags to elegant clothing. The brand's history of quality, innovation and craftsmanship continues to shape the world of fashion today. The history of the brand's origins is rooted in its founder's unquenchable search for discovery. He created cutting-edge materials and designs to satisfy the needs of travelers of all kinds.
Louis Vuitton was a Frenchman with a creative spirit and a determination to achieve. His ingenuity and determination allowed him to rise above the poverty of rural France to become the epitome of Parisian craftsmanship. His passion revolutionized the industry and established the iconic brand of the brand, synonymous with luxury and opulence.
After Vuitton died in 1892, Georges set out to create Louis Vuitton an international brand. He opened Louis Vuitton shops across the world and organized an exhibit on luggage at the Chicago World's Fair. He introduced the LV Monogram Canvas that is a distinctive pattern comprised of light and dark rectangles, to help customers identify genuine LV products and ward off counterfeiters.
Nicolas Ghesquiere was appointed as the new creative director of the brand in 2014. He reinvented LV's iconic designs. He introduced a range of new items, including the Petite Malle - a miniature version of the trunks that were used in the beginning days of LV. The Petite Malle has the same LV lock as well as calfskin and golden brass details as the original trunks.
He has also worked with designers like Stephen Sprouse and Takashi Murakami. He also created the LV Multicolor Monogram - a reinterpretation on the classic monogram of the brand, which features 33 different colours on a black or white background. He also introduced 56 different styles of men's Louis Vuitton bags during Paris Fashion Week in 2018 which showcased the brand's commitment to inclusivity and innovation in the market for men.
The collection offered a variety of bags that included the GO14, Side Trunk, and Bum Bag. The designer also showed various unique clothing such as anoraks that had cutouts to accommodate bum bags, and double-breasted blazers made of mohair and wool. The designer also unveiled several accessories, like the Keepall and the Petite Malle, reimagined in various colors, and featuring metal and matte leather detailing.

The time saw the introduction of the iconic Jackie O shoulder bag, the GG monogram and the Flora print. In 1972 the company launched its first store devoted to clothing in New York City.

The company also runs restaurants and hotels in addition to its retail outlets. It also has a huge social media following and has been featured in a variety of film and television productions.
In the early 1990s, Gucci underwent a major overhaul. Dawn Mello, president of Bergdorf Goodman was hired by the company to revive its fortunes. She was followed by American designer Tom Ford.
