The Best Small Nespresso Machines
Nespresso machines are famous for their simplicity of use. Simply insert a pod into the machine and press a button. Many devices come with touchscreens and a fast heating time.
There's also a variety of sizes that will meet your needs. The smallest Nespresso machine is the Essenza Mini, is designed to maximize space thanks to its small footprint and slim profile.
1. Nespresso Essenza Mini
The Essenza Mini is Nespresso's most basic and least expensive machine. It is also the most user-friendly machine, since it can be switched on by pressing one button. Your coffee is ready in a matter of minutes. Nespresso's capsule system lets you to enjoy the best coffee shop espresso at home. The brand is also well-known for its sleek machines that can be tucked away in small spaces.
This model, along with its larger cousin Pixie 1, which is a larger model Pixie 1, both belong to Nespresso's Original Line of pod espresso machines. The machines don't have milk frothers. However you can add hot water or milk to your coffee to give it a different taste. These machines are also great for those who don't want to deal with the mess or hassle of traditional drip coffee makers.
If you'd prefer, you could make use of a milk maker from a third-party machine. The only downside to the Mini is that it can only brew two sizes of cups: an espresso or a lungo (double espresso). This isn't an issue for many people, but it's something to consider if you intend to use the Mini frequently.
The Mini is half the weight and size of the other Original Line Nespresso machines, which is ideal when you have a limited counter space. The machine is energy efficient and uses less energy than other coffee makers. It's easy to refill its 20.3-ounce water tank, and empty capsule containers, too.
We tried the Essenza Mini for our Single-Serve Coffee Makers review, and it scored well in our tests for first-cup speed, repeat speed and consistency of temperature between cups. We also found it easy to operate, simple to refill, and clean.
This small nespresso is offered in five colors and two shapes: black, white and gray. The Mini C is a boxy machine with straight lines while the Mini D has a triangular shape and more angular lines. Both models are priced similarly and share the same ability to brew, however their style and design differ. The best option for you will depend on your style and how much storage space you have.
2. Nespresso CitiZ
This Nespresso machine is not the cheapest, but it's a good option for those who like making cappuccino or espresso at home. It is simple to use and compact, taking less space than other models. It's slim and will be placed on even the most crowded kitchen counters. It produces coffee using capsules, which is easy and clean. The machine is quickly heated and has a fast, automated energy saving function that shuts it off after nine minutes of idle. It is sleek and modern design, and is available in four different colors that will suit any kitchen design.
The machine has two buttons that are programmed that allow you to choose the quantity you wish to beverage. The machine will stop the flow of water after it reaches the desired amount of Espresso or Lungo. It also comes with an easily foldable tray that allows it to accommodate taller recipe glasses. It is easy to operate, meaning even those who are not tech-savvy can operate it.
The Nespresso CitiZ does not have a button that is dedicated to dispensing milk foam. The milk frother can only be used when the machine is turned on. This can be a problem when you are making cappuccinos or other drinks that require a substantial amount of froth.
The machine also doesn't have an automatic hot water dispenser. You'll have to add water manually each time you use it. This could be a problem when you have a busy family or away from home for a prolonged period of time. The machine doesn't come with a travel cup, which is common among smaller Nespresso models.
The Nespresso machine is easy to keep tidy and has a small footprint which makes it easy to store. It also has a simple, one-touch brewing system. It takes about 25 seconds to heat up, which is fairly quick compared to its competitors. It is also recommended to descale the machine regularly to eliminate mineral buildup and ensure it is working at its best. Nespresso provides a descaling solution that you can use to run the machine to keep it in good condition.
3. Nespresso Vertuo Plus
The Vertuo Plus takes the single serve making process to a new level. This machine can produce a variety of coffees and espressos by pressing the button. It's also easy to warm up, taking between 15 and 25 seconds to warm up. It also includes the Aeroccino milk froth maker, which makes hot or cold froth for your favorite coffee recipes in just a few seconds.
The Vertuo Plus, like other Nespresso machines, is simple to use. You simply need to insert the capsule and press a button. The machine will then automatically scan the barcode on the capsule and adjust the brewing parameters accordingly. The capsule will spin with up to 7,500 revolutions per minute, combining ground coffee with water to create a rich and creamy crema.
This technology is exclusive to the Vertuo line and aims to create an extraction that is more even than other Nespresso products. The result is a drink that is smoother and has a deeper crema when compared to traditional pod drinks. The Vertuo Plus can also deliver longer drinks, such as Granlungo or alto, which is not possible with traditional pod machines.
Another advantage of the Vertuo Plus is its design. The machine is made from plastic of high-quality and features a slim machine body. The water tank can be placed either on the left or the right side of the machine, and the capsule drawer closes automatically. It also has an adjustable cup support that can be adjusted to tall travel mugs.
One thing to keep in mind is that the Vertuo Plus isn't the ideal option for small spaces. It can take up a large amount of counter space at 12.8 inches high and 12.7 inches wide. It is also quite heavy, and it could be difficult to lift if you live in an upper floor. The majority of reviewers were pleased with the Vertuo Plus's ease of use and quick boiling. Many loved the large 40-ounce tank, which was easy to clean and never required refills.
4. Nespresso Pixie
The Pixie is the Tinkerbell of small coffee makers. It's small, cute and magical (especially when you get up in the morning). Much like its counterpart in the movie it will fulfill all your black-coffee desires without any hassle. It's one Nespresso single-cup espresso maker that can make espresso shots in less than one second. It's also extremely efficient in energy use and can be shut down immediately after 9 minutes of inactivity.
The machine will reach the perfect temperature in 25 seconds. You can grab an espresso shot or a lungo espresso before heading to work. The one-touch buttons can be programmed to give 1.35-ounces of espresso or 3.7 pounds of lungo shots. The 19-bar high-pressure pump produces results that are similar to those at your local coffee shop.
It is available in various colors and has a sleek design. It looks great on any counter. The body of the machine is made from aluminum and plastic that are lightweight. The cup support and sides are made of aluminum that is thin and recycled ABS plastic. site is made from a metal known as Zamak that is lightweight and durable.
In addition to the fast boiling times and low energy consumption, the machine has some other features that make it simple and easy to use. The automatic shut-off is a nice feature, and both the capsule container as well as the used-capsule bin can be removed for easy cleaning. It's also easy to fill the water tank, and a red backlight lets you know when the tank is full.
Like the other Nespresso machines like all Nespresso machines, the Pixie requires descale occasionally. The process takes around 15 minutes, and involves filling the water tank with Nespresso descaling liquid and then running an application to clean the system. This helps keep the machine in pristine condition and shields it from calcium deposits that may cause problems for its performance.
The Pixie is not able to make latte or Cappuccino drinks. If you're looking to drink a milky beverage you'll need to purchase an additional milk frother. It's not costly, but it is an inconvenience.
