The Lattissima is the next step in Nespresso's one-touch brewing. You can brew espressos and lungo coffee in just a minutes or less and can be used with the vast selection of capsules.

The machine can also be programmed to create the exact size of drink you desire. This is an excellent feature for busy families.

Simple to use


The basic black Nespresso machine is simple to use and maintain. It has a minimalist, straightforward design and just one button at the top that controls powering, rinsing, brewing and more. Open the lid, insert the capsule inside, and press to begin the brewing. It is quick to heat up and provides a range of drink options such as double espresso as well as 5- 8 or 18-ounce coffees. It comes with a steaming device to create a textured, cafe-like appearance to your drinks. While we love its simple interface and compact design however, we discovered that it doesn't work better than more expensive models in making rich-tasting espresso and coffee. It's also not as easy to recycle the capsules as some other machines in our tests. This Nespresso was not the top choice in our test of side-by-side for these reasons.

Quick to brew

The Nespresso machine can make one cup of coffee in around 15 minutes. The heated water from the reservoir flows through a pump before it penetrates tiny holes in the top of the coffee pod. It then mixes with the compacted ground coffee inside and drips into your cup. We tried the machine with Jones Brothers and Bestpresso capsules and it produced an extremely rich and delicious espresso that has a slight bite. We also tested whole, 2% and almond milk and found that all performed well.

Easy to clean

Cleaning a Nespresso machine is crucial both inside and out. This keeps the machine in good order and ensure its security. It also enhances the flavor of your coffee. There are a variety of cleaners to clean the inside of a Nespresso and include vinegar. However, it's recommended to make use of a descaling solution instead, since vinegar can cause damage to the machine.

To clean your Nespresso machine, remove all capsules. Then, clean the drip tray and capsule container. Then, fill a sink or large bowl with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Let the drip tray and container soak in the soapy water for a few minutes to loosen gunk and stains. Rinse them with hot water, and then use a non-abrasive sponge or cloth to scrub off any residues or stains. After scrubbing, rinse the drip tray and the capsule container again and let them dry completely before returning them to the machine.

After your machine has been cleaned and descaled, it's time to clean it. Follow nespresso mini coffee machine in your manual for a specific method. Otherwise, you can create an DIY descaling solution using white vinegar or citric acid. However, if you're using vinegar, make sure to use white vinegar rather than balsamic or apple vinegar, since they are too harsh for this purpose.
